LOCATION OF EMPLOYMENT EXCHANGE:-

The District Employment Exchange, Kadapa is located in “O” Block, New Collectorate Campus, Near Govt.  Arts College,   Kadapa  – 516004.

Main activities of District Employment Exchange :

1.  Every day registration, renewals and maintenance work for unemployed youth.
2.  Vocational Guidance Activities.
3.  Employment Market Information (EMI) activities.
4.  Jobmelas.
5.  Outsourcing activities.
6.  OMCAP activities.

1.Everyday registration, renewals and maintenance work for unemployed youth:-

At DEE, Kadapa, as on 31-07-2019 a total of 71,851 Candidate Registration at various levels of qualification like SSC, Intermediate, Degree, I.T.I, B.Ed etc., Category wise & Qualifications wise details are as shown below:

 Qualification wise L R : (as on 31-07-2019):-

Normally, the Registration card/no. is valid for 3 years except for PH candidates.  Before the expiry of 3 years, the candidates should do Renewal so that his seniority is continued. Along with this, there is an option to add the additional qualifications of the candidate, modify the details like change of address, corrections in name, Date of Birth etc., which are all covered under Maintenance activity.

Based on these details, whenever any Government department or private establishment notify the Employment Exchange to sponsor the candidates to fill up the vacancies in their establishments, the data will be provided to them in 1:20 ratio based on their educational qualifications, seniority and priority as per the requirement.

 2) Vocational Guidance Activities :

As a part of vocational guidance, the District Employment Officer and Junior Employment Officer will provide career talks and career guidance to the unemployed youth at the District Employment exchange, Kadapa. Also, they can visit educational institutions starting from schools, junior colleges and welfare hostels to provide career guidance to the students.

As a part of this, recently District Employment Officer, Kadapa along with Regional Employment Officer, Kurnool and Junior Employment Officers conducted Psychometric Test that includes Interest Profiler test and Work Importance Profiler test for the Students of Govt. Polytechnic College for Women, Kadapa, on 15-02-2019. Total of  117 students participated.

Employment Officer, District Employment Officer, and Junior Employment Officers have attended and addressed the students.

3)Employment Market Information (EMI) activities:

EMPLOYMENT EXCHANGES (COMPULSORY NOTIFICATION OF VACANCIES) ACT, 1959.

• • Employment Market Information Programme takes care of the collection of data from the Organized Sector on employment, vacancies, occupational and educational pattern of employees etc. in ER-I return prescribed under the Act.
  • The Act provides for compulsory notification of vacancies and submission of employment returns (ER-I) by employers to the Employment Exchanges and the Act also applies to all establishments in the Public Sector and such establishments in the Private Sector as are engaged in non-agricultural activities and employing 25 or more workers.

As a part of administrative functioning, data is collected through the Employment Exchange Statistical Returns, each return covering a specific field of activity like registration, placement etc. with different periodicity.

4) Details of Job melas conducted:-

At DEE, Kadapa, along with regular registration activities, employment opportunities are provided in Private Sector for the unemployed youth by conducting Job melas, @ 3 per month. The various employers participated are Vinutna Fertilizers, Youth for Jonbs, SIS Securities, LIC, SBI Life, Amarraja etc, details are mentioned below.

Month wise during 2019:-

Regional Employment Officer, Kurnool addressing the gathering at Jobmela at DEE, Kadapa conducted by Swiggy.

District Employment Officer, Kadapa & Junior Employment Officers, Kadapa along with selected candidates at Jobmela done by Vinuthna Fertilizers.

5) Details of Outsourcing Activities:-

As per G.O. MS No. 151,the District Collector, is the Chairman of the District Level Outsourcing Committee (DLOC). The District Employment Officer is the Convenor member, the Deputy Director,Treasuries and the Deputy Commissioner of Labour are members of DLOC for selection of Outsourcing Agency for supplying man power to the various Departments in the District.

6) OMCAP Activities:-

Overseas Manpower Company of Andhra Pradesh (OMCAP) is a recruiting agency permitted by Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India to send Women to Gulf Countries to work as House Maids / Nurses through Government.

General Manager, OMCAP addressing at the Awareness Program for CDPOs and ICDS Supervisors. RDD,ICDS; PD, ICDS, Kadapa & District Employment Officer, Kadapa also participated.

The District Employment Officer, Kadapa visited PMKKY,OMCAP training Center at Kadapa where training for Women interested to work in Gulf Countries is being conducted.
